Project - Beauty Salon in Jurmala
Challenge
The hair salon has been in business for many years. The interior needed to be freshened up and updated to meet modern needs, highlighting the different zones.Patination was used to finish the equipment, using copper powder pigment and metal varnish.
Patination is a process of artificially aging surfaces (metal, wood, leather) by applying special compounds or chemical oxidation, creating a vintage, worn effect and protecting the item from corrosion. This decorative technique highlights texture, indentations, and design elements, making them more expressive, giving furniture, doors, wrought iron, and other interior items a respectable, antique look.
The piping was finished with velvet-effect paint.
